Thursday, October 11th ~ Yoga
Went to yoga this a.m. I have to admit I haven't been in a week or so, but I have used Bharati's video tape instead. It was great to spend and hour and a half stretching. I know this sounds like "a stretch" and it literally is. I am now able to reach the big stock pots we store in those little cabinets above the fridge. Maybe I'm taller now? Nice thought. :o)

Richard and I also went to our neighborhood grocery store late this afternoon to get our flu shot. I went first, lucky me.... You wanna know something? The Pharmacist says she's given thousands of flu shots over the years and I have gotten flu shots regularly for about 10 years myself now. And, this is the very first time I've had a reaction. Immediately, the shot site swelled like a grape and Pharmacist "Ratchet" got a bit concerned. She did get a bag of ice for my arm and after Richard got his flu shot we went on to grocery shop. She asked me to stop back by which I did. It looked OK and was just really sore. (And, I believe her when she said this has never happened to her before. If something unusual is going to happen, it's usually to me!)

Well, that was at 5:00 this afternoon and it is now 8:00 p.m. The phone just rang and Pharmacist "Ratchet" wanted to know how I was doing. I told her "my arm just fell off and is lying on the floor. I could really use some Elmer's to re-attach it". And, then I said it was just fine; just a little more sore. Funny though as she said she was going to ask me if it fell on the floor but then thought better of it. She is a very caring person and that was so nice of her to call. (And, I wouldn't hesitate for her to give me a flu shot next time either). I did tell her that I thought I'd make it at least through the night. Ha. Maybe I should stick some duct tape on my arm and pay her a visit tomorrow. She has a great sense of humor and would probably appreciate it!
