11 Miles Today
Left the house at 5:30 a.m. today. The weather was terrific at 62 degrees! WOW! The spring is back in my step. I think I made it to Alice's house in record time. Alice, Laurie, Robin and I walked about 6 miles total. Oh yes, the dogs went too. I think that they are going to miss these regular long walks much more than anyone else will. But, we have all agreed to continue walking after the 3 Day, just not as early or nearly as far.

I do have an something interesting to share. Over the past few months, I've noticed that quite a few people do laundry at the crack of dawn (between 5:30 and 7:00 a.m.) I know this because I can smell Bounce dryer sheets at several houses as I walk by. I mentioned this to Alice this morning as we passed a "Bounce" house and told her about another house I "smell" regularly and she said she knew who lived there and they have two teenage boys. Guess that explains it!

Anyway, after getting home, I sauteed onions and garlic then fired up the crock pot to cook some beans. The house (and neighborhood) smell divine... just like Richard's old Italian neighborhood, no doubt! Then, I grabbed Bogie's leash (and Bogie) and we headed out to make our rounds of the "hood". It was truly a lovely day for walking.
