16 HARD Miles Today
After the 19 miles I finished yesterday, I slept in a bit. Left the house at 8:30 a.m. today and walked to my friend Doug's in Canyon Creek. Took a break and visited on his patio for a bit before trudging on towards home. I stopped at mom's and took another rest before heading home. That was only 8 miles, but it felt like 18, it was soooo darn hot. 95 degrees today felt alot hotter than the 95 degrees of yesterday for some reason, even though there was a breeze.

After eating lunch, I went out again and logged 2.5 miles roundtrip to Whole Foods where I got a smoothie. Got home again and took another 20 minute rest out of the heat before hitting the sidewalk again. By this time, it was about 2:00 and I only got another 2.5 miles in before I stopped back at home and had to rest. I had consumed so much water since early morning that my stomach was actually "sloshing".... didn't know that was possible! Anyway, I rested for an hour and a half before hitting the pavement once more to finish up. Got another 3 miles in which made the daily grand total 16.

I have to say that although my immune system is crappy, my feet work pretty darn good. So far, no blisters. God is good.

And, the coin faeries were stingy today. I only found one penny. But, it counts... training still makes cents at a total of $1.48!!
