Left the house at 7:30 a.m. today and headed to Janie's house in the hills of Canyon Creek again. Just 10 miles total. (But I have planned another 18 mile walk next week followed by a 15 the following day.)
Oh yes, I was listening to KLUV on part of my training walk this a.m. and heard Jody Dean plugging the Breast Cancer 3 Day and he also mentioned that the event is posted on their website. Here's a link to that: http://www.kluv.com/pages/62714.php
Well, the coin faeries have been at it again sprinkling my path. I found a dime on Custer Road and three pennies on Arapaho. I do wonder where these coins really come from. Can it be that people do just "throw good money out the window" as they drive down the street? (Training continues to make cents; as I'm up to $1.17 in found coins on my walks now!)
I have to mention that although there was a breeze, it was still hot and humid. I did stop a few times though. A friend was driving down the street, pulled over behind me and honked. I did have to ask "howdja know it was me?" (She said she had already seen me earlier on the same street.) I also stopped to visit with two of my neighbors on Waterview. Having survived breast cancer twice in addition to all the other malignancies I've had, it really does wonders for my motivation to have so much support behind me. The honks and waves are terrific and I especially appreciate all the donations on my behalf. Everyone truly does deserve a lifetime.
I also thought ya'll might like to see these before and after pictures of my morning training routine :o)
