Six Miles Today
Put my sneakers on and hit the door at dark thirty today. The cool morning air stopped me in my tracks! Seems like eons since I could say that! So, I made a u-turn and got a jacket. After leaving the house for the 2nd time, I hadn't gone far when I noticed two "thugs" crossing the street and heading for me. Since it was still dark, it wasn't till they were almost in front of me before I realized one was neighbor Carl and the other Carls friend David. What a relief!

Anyway, I continued walking when it dawned on me (pun intended) that I have trained through all four seasons now. Reading back through old blog posts, I have trained in snow, sleet, terrific weather and the heat of the summer too; wow. In just 7 short weeks, my training will come to a merciful end as the Breast Cancer 3 Day begins.

I only logged six miles this morning as I had a date at UT Southwestern Medical Center with my lung oncologist. As I expected, my lung cancer continues to snooze. God is good.

Monday, September 10 ~ Official Rest Day

No training today.... but I had intended to rest. Except that I ended up spending most of the day with a friend at doctors appointments.
