12 Miles Today
Planned to meet my team compadres at 7:00 a.m. walk this morning but had a slight rain delay. Left the house at 7:15 to meet up with them. The four of us & two dogs walked until 10:00 a.m. then I headed back home. Put my feet up for a few minutes then headed out again to log a few more neighborhood miles with Bogie. Ended up being a 12 mile day. Since it's been a few weeks since I've done an extended walk like today, my legs are "talking" to me just a bit.

I did find two more training cents
(or should I say sense?) while walking today though.
Both are pretty worn out.... here... see for your self!

June 20th ~ 0 Miles
Didn't walk this morning, but I did go to the big Tuesday Morning warehouse on Inwood to get a water aerobics kit. I had decided months ago to add water aerobics to my training program and the water in our pool is now a good temperature for me (I'm a cold water sissy). The kit is kinda neat in that is has an aqua belt, aqua gloves, aqua barbells and the most important part, waterproof instructions. I also thought that since I chose not to have breast reconstruction following my mastectomy surgery, I could just blow up some balloons and use those in my swimsuit. Might help make me more buoyant and "keep my head above water".... ha.

Also met my sweet friend Ann for lunch. Ann surprised me with a neat shirt she bought last week in Santa Fe, New Mexico that suits me to a T. (Hey, maybe that's why they call 'em T-shirts?). It's hard to tell from this photo, but it is white with the words spelled out in rhinestones; very elegant! Those of you who know me well, know that I often sign my emails with "Attitude is Everything". So, this is very special to me.
June 19 ~ 6 Miles
Headed out for a walk this morning and a few miles later, ran into two of my Breast 3 Day training mates. Tagged along with them for another couple of miles. Also went to "big" Baylor to hear a physician's presentation on breast cancer reconstruction. Although it is not something I intend to pursue personally, I wanted to see if there was any new information I could use in the future when helping other cancer patients. Didn't learn anything new, but was glad I went anyway.
June 18 ~ 0 Miles
Spent the day in the heart cath family waiting area with my friend while her husband had heart tests that resulted in a pace maker. Got home about 8:30 p.m., thought about taking a quick walk and then was able to talk myself out of it!
June 17 ~ 0 Miles
Took the day off......
June 16 ~ 0 Miles
Played hookie from training today.
June 15th ~ Yoga only; no walking
