Four Miles Today & Yoga!
Started out early this a.m. with a 2.5 mile neighborhood walk. Later in the afternoon, I added another mile to visit a friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We had a good hour plus visit sharing experiences and feelings about our breast cancer journeys. I had just been to Texas Oncology at Big Baylor and had picked up some new publications to give her. One is brand new and is called Healing (terrific magazine). Another is called Mamm and I really enjoyed reading all the articles in that. And, there is also a publication called Cure that I read from cover to cover regularly. It's great that all of these magazines are available for people affected by cancer. I still have vivid memories of how little information was made available 20 years ago when there was no internet and doctors were not apt to tell you much about your illness, no matter how hard you tried.
I also added at least another half mile, maybe more, walking our "boarder", Mr. Furlong (an adorable 8 month old Lhasa Apso; his human parents are vacationing in California for 2 weeks). Also walking our little Bogie too.
Yoga was great this a.m. also. This is my first Friday to go and Bharati has a slightly different program on Fridays. I have to say that only thought she worked every muscle in my body at each regular class so far up until today. This new-to-me Friday session unearthed a bunch of new muscles are are "talking" to me. Guess I should go on Friday more often!
