5.0 Miles walked today....
Walked early this a.m. and nothing newsy to report today other than, boy, was it ever humid. The storm must be on its way. I suppose I should button down the hatches even though the sun is blazing as I write this.
Tuesday, May 22nd ~ 0 Miles Today
This morning I went up to Baylor Plano to be with my friend whose husband was scheduled for a lung biopsy. Unfortunately, at the last minute, his doctor decided to have another doctor do a needle biopsy and that couldn't happen until the afternoon. At 11:00 a.m., I had to leave to go to my own doctors appointment. Good checkup.... about 200 miles of my walking since February, red yeast rice tablets (only try this with your own doctors approval), ground flax seeds and fish oil have resulted in a dramatic reduction in my cholesterol. Total cholesterol went from 255 down to 198..... and the HDL/LDL ratio is well within good limits too. Yippeeeeee!!!!
Spent the afternoon making the rounds at UT Southwestern & Baylor for some paperwork and then headed right back to Baylor Plano to be with my buddy. Procdure is over, but results won't be in for another day. I know from my own experiences that the waiting is the hardest part. Prayers for her husband continue.
