Sunday, April 22
This morning I walked to Whole Foods and picked up some dog shampoo for Bogie and some veggies for dinner. Also walked the neighborhood. Logged a total of 5 miles but it felt like 10. Butt muscles from flower planting are still "talking" to me.

Saturday, April 21
Richard and I took my little Isetta to a true mechanical guru in Ft. Worth in the a.m. This man has a collection of motorcycles that is incredible and he has personally re-built several Isetta's. My "little one" is in good hands. Hope to have it back in a week or so.

After that, we went to the nursery and bought plants for the front yard. I planted over 200 flowers, one Indian Hawthorne bush and 6 Japanese Painted Ferns. I have now rediscovered muscles I hadn't used since planting the pansies last fall.

While no walking today, the planting took about almost 6 straight hours and was a real workout.

Friday, April 20
Walked three miles up & down & up & down the mountain roads in the early morning. Actually had to lean back while walking down a few of roads to avoid falling forward. The inclines were challenging and my normal 17 minute mile was increased to about 28 minutes. Even at the higher altitude, I my breathing was pretty good for the most part. And, legs did great...

Left Brady Mountain and drove back to Richardson. Got home early evening.

Richard and got up at 4:45 a.m. to meet our fishing guide before 6:00 a.m. It was pretty chilly on the boat ride out to the fishing spot but luckily warmed up later in the morning. While the fishing was excellent, the catching was... well.... Richard caught a nice 15+ pound striper and I snagged a brim "limb". Maybe I should have brought it home and had it mounted! Our guide constantly checked with the other guides on the lake and no one was having much luck. Oh well... maybe next time. Still had fun.

Wednesday, April 18
No walking today. Drove from Whitesboro to Brady Mountain, Arkansas. Our log cabin is original (believe me on this one) "circa 1960's early American mobile home". The kitchen is complete with orange formica counters & harvest gold sink. Oh yes, the bathroom formica was faux marble with the little gold flecks in it. Lamp shades still had the cellophane on them and the sticker that says "Warning: Fire Hazard, remove before using". All-in-all, another one of life's adventures. I have to say that the front deck and surroundings were great and the view of the lake thorough the 100' tall pines was gorgeous.

Tuesday, April 17
Walked 2.5 miles today on some of the flatter dirt roads around the ranch. Cut walk short to run errands with my buddy.
