7.5 Miles Today
I must confess that I didn’t go to church today. Instead, I did a 7.5 mile walk this morning. But, all during my walk, I did think about my faith and how important it has been in my life. I also found 2 beat up pennies and a quarter. One of the pennies has really been though a lot and that got me to thinking about my cancer journey. I may write that story up to share later today. Oh yeah, I added up all my "training" miles since I registered for this event and I'm up to 151.5!!

Got up at 4:45 a.m. to get the yard set up for the sale. Thanks Linda & Terri for your boxes of donations to the cause! The weather was perfect and I had my first sale at 7:02 a.m. Actually, more than half of the stuff was gone by 9:00 a.m. Yard salers really are early birds. By noon, I didn't have much left, so I closed shop. The good news is that I raised another $358 for breast cancer research. Yippeeeeee!

Woke up at 1:30 a.m. with my stomach burning. I finally gave in and went to my internists office after lunch when it was obvious it wasn't going away. Evidently it is some kind of gastritis. After 2 doses of magic meds, I started to feel much better (it's always something, isn't it?) So, no walking.
Instead, after getting my Rx filled, I spent the rest of the day getting ready for our yard sale. A guy at Richard's office made a huge 9 foot x 2 foot banner and also a big poster for the sale. The banner said "Yard Sale for the Breast Cancer 3 Day".
