Went for a colonoscopy at 7:00 a.m. this morning. While I was getting prepped by the nurse, the anesthesiologist asked about any prior surgeries and so I gave him my litany of surgeries and cancers (all that I could remember off hand anyway). He said “I have never heard of that”. I was surprised by that statement and so I asked him “you’ve never heard of these cancers??” He then replied “yes, but not in one person”!!! ha.

The nurse kept repeating, “but you look soooo good”. Gosh, there is still such a common misconception that if you have or have had cancer, you’re supposed to look like you are at deaths door. Maybe I’m still hanging around to dispel that myth. Anyway, the procedure went well.

Will be using up some more Richardson pavement in the a.m. I feel a bit guilty for my respite from walking when I go in my closet and see my sneakers......lying there.... just waiting.....
