Bogie and I made our 2 mile round of the neighborhood this morning. Weather is getting warmer, but still quite nice for walking. After putting him back in the house, I walked over to my mom's place to log in another 3 miles. On the way home, I noticed the winds billowing huge clouds of pollen out of a pine tree. I know (from living in Atlanta) that pines produce impressive amounts of pollen, but had never watched one "smoke" before. I immediately covered my nose with a kleenex and picked up the pace to get past that mess. So, you just never know what you'll experience when you get out and about on foot. It was a five mile morning.
Yesterday, I forgot to post... but I played hookie from walking anyway. I went to see Body Worlds and the movie "The Human Body" at the IMAX theatre instead. It is a fascinating, jaw dropping (pun intended) experience. I think I found it particularly interesting as I have had well over a dozen surgeries over the past 20 years and now I got to see first hand what some of that involved. Glad I saw this exhibit before it moves on.
